Comunicate de presă

The Romanian presidency is planning to broker the Council’s negotiating position on cohesion files by the end of June, the country’s minister for EU funds said today.
In an interview with POLITICO, Rovana Plumb said the presidency is targeting a so-called partial general approach on the five cohesion-related files under the EU budget during the June 25 General Affairs Council meeting.
The five regulations cover the Common Provisions, the European Regional Development Fund and Cohesion Fund, European Social Fund Plus, provisions for regional cooperation, and cross-border mechanism.
The Council has already come to an agreement on three sections of the Common Provisions regulation, the minister said, noting that trilogues have been launched on the parts of the regulation that concern programming, management and control, enabling conditions and performance framework.
The next trilogues on these sections will take place February 26 and March 6, Plumb said.
